I am extremely pleased to have purchased the tuneable hapi drum origin version. I love the soft soothing almost bell tones in clarity coupled with resonant harmonics caused by the sympathetic vibration of the other tongues. It's hypnotic in its tonal quality and very pleasing to the ear. One does not get tired of the sounds this makes. The tuneable nature allows for infinite possibilities. I hope to incorporate it in my music at some point, but for now, I'm having a lot of fun using it alone.

I am very HAPI with our HAPI DRUM

... but if you insist: I ordered the drum during a war in my country, due to that there were internal delays and I must say that Grahm and his team accompanied me all the way through with their superb service and responsiveness till the Drum got to my hands. Thank you again folks! it's been a pleasure!!! The first thing I couldn't help but notice the second I opened the package was the excellent build quality of the drum, it is so robust with beautiful grainy Indigo-Blue finishing that gives tactile pleasure when touching it, that goes also to the durable custom carrying case, it came so handy and has such a great value for money that I don't see any point in buying a drum without it. The mallets are great to, but I only use those when tuning the drum which leads me to the next point. Tuning the drum turned out to be a breeze for anyone who has just a little bit of either musical-background or patience. I easily tuned my drum 3 days ago to E AKEBONO scale and stuck with it till now. I must say that prior the purchase I was kind of skeptic about the magnets, but those turned out to be very strong and "tune-reliable" and hold up their position perfectly - I say that as someone who traveled allot with the drum these days and excessively taking it in and out of it's bag and playing it. I have never played percussion instruments before, only played my guitar as an educated amateur - I had an immediate connection with the Drum and after very short time I discovered that it's like I had built in percussion techniques inside me that I wasn't aware of. The sound of the Drum is amazing, clean and deep with the slightest touch of the finger. I had to train about 2 hours on loosening my fingers and allowing them to bounce back from the drum's surface, the sound was so rewarding - the slightest touch can produce a really reach and clean tone. Till now I have composed two short pieces with the drum, the first one describes it's journey to Israel in the shadow of the war, I can play it very fast and accurate and I don't say it to brag - on the contrary - I had no prior percussion experience (if you don't count my car's dashboard) - So I guess that anyone with a sense and desire for melody beats would have the same Wonderful experience. I can conclude the whole purchase-service-satisfaction experience with one word - WOW!! Now, get out of here, I'm going to play my Drum. Sincerely, Rotem - Life-Coach Israel

I just can't put it down!

I have been practicing on my drum since I got it in the mail. It's really easy to pick up and learn, but very difficult to put down afterwards! It has a lot of potential as an instrument! Being able to tune the notes is great, since it allows for even more room for experimentation and more versatility to fit any environment. I tuned it with relative ease to a C minor blues and have been sticking with that scale for some time, though I am definitely going to check out some other scales. I enjoy picking a place outside, breaking out my HAPI drum, and improvising a tune. The HAPI drum has a way with catching the ear of a random passerby and putting them in a good mood.

Incredible Instrument

I purchased the HAPI Slim in A Major and I absolutely love this drum. The sound it produces is very clear and extremely relaxing, as my friends have told me. Playing it is easy, fun, and a great way to spend some down time. There is literally no way to make this instrument sound bad. When it's in my budget I will very likely purchase another drum.
