Been using this mic for 5 years, no joke. Can't believe it's still around! I've tried recording with some fancy mics and this one has worked better, to my surprise and the surprise of the recording tech. I play it on the street and in the park too, seriously love it. I will say if you can get it a couple inches away from the didg it sounds better. If you look up a setup like Dr. Didg has where he keeps his mic in a box with a hole for the didg, that works REALLY well. Hook it up to a roland micro cube BASS rx and you can go anywhere! If you play didg tho, make sure you get a bass amp for it!
The package arrived right on time. I immediately put it on my didge and plugged it into a small amplifier. The sound was awesome!! To keep the mic dry-I cut a finger off a vinyl glove, put a little rubberband around the base of it. It stays dry and I could not be happier. The quality of this product is excellent!
...for just the lesson on circular breathing alone! I'd looked at all the c.b. lessons on You Tube and had gotten the basic idea, but was having trouble really coordinating it all. It's a funny little dance you have to do with body parts that aren't used to dancing. But with Grahm's techniques, I got it in an evening. Still perfecting, but thrilled to have gotten it at all. But the DVD has much more than just circular breathing. In a gentle and encouraging manner, Grahm covers all of the sounds that I've heard on didge and wanted to make and more. And in some sections, he plays certain techniques for a good length of time, so you can do it with him, which, for me, makes it easier to pick up than just doing it on my own. Add to that, the lessons with Grahm and his students are well edited, visually interesting, and shot in beautiful outdoor settings. I'm from the classical world, where $20 buys you a single half hour lesson. Even if I'd paid the full $20 (and not $10 because I bought it with a didge), this would be the best money I ever spent on a music lesson.
its alot taller than i expected, it can easily fit two even three small bell didgeridoos.
I have found the bag to be sturdy and well padded so far. Very happy with the purchase.
